In the Milwich Parish Survey of 2010, All Saints Church was considered “important” to the community by the majority of parishioners, as a building, place of worship and for major life events such as Baptisms, Funerals and Weddings.
Maintaining All Saints historic building, the churchyard and supporting ministry in the Parish costs Milwich Church approximately £1,200 a month and presently we are falling somewhat short of this. These monies have to be found locally from the congregation, supporters and reserves, which are being used up very quickly.
The repairs to the building as identified in the quinqennial inspection have been delayed for the last three years but an additional £4,000 will have to be found for this, during the latter part of this year and early next.
If you are one of those who consider the Church to be an “important” part of the village then we ask you to please help us as much as you feel able.
This can be done in a number of different ways. Please support the fund raising events we hold each year or consider helping us with a donation.
Whilst we will always be pleased to see you at our Sunday services, we accept that it may not be your wish to attend church every week but we invite you to support us and become a friend of the Church by making a weekly, monthly or annual donation. If you are a tax payer, we can recover a further 25% from the Revenue if you sign a gift aid form. Ring Paul on 505099 for details.
All Saints Village Hall is vested in Milwich Church and the Church also have to underwrite the running costs but thankfully the hall is presently breaking even.
We know times are presently difficult for many but any help you can give will be very much appreciated.
