Milwich & District Produce Guild
Our meeting on February 27th is the Annual Bulb Show and Social Evening. Members are reminded to stage their exhibits at 7pm, ready for the judging at 7.30pm
On March 26th, we welcome back Ruth Williams who will talk on “Living Churchyards.”
Our programme has changed a little, and we have visits planned for June and July: to Tanglewood in Colwich in June, and The Beeches at Rocester in July.

The Mobile Library visits Milwich on Mondays – March 9th and 23rd

Greenlea Nursery and wraparound care
Children and staff have had a very busy start to the year. This half term we have been looking at gadgets that make our life easier in the kitchen. We have been investigating what people used before, and who invented the various kitchen gadgets. We have also been using some of the gadgets we looked at in our cookery sessions, in our play dough area, our water tray and also in the outdoor area. Our role play area has been set up as a kitchen, again filled with lots of gadgets we might have in our kitchen at home.
We had a visit from Staffordshire County Council quality assessor. The early years’ assessor was extremely pleased with the provision we offer in our nursery. She made a point of praising the hard work and dedication of our early years’ staff and department, who, and I quote: “work tirelessly for the benefit of the children.” So with this visit a success I must take this opportunity to thank all the staff on their hard work, not only on this particular day, but every day. They really do go above and beyond to give the children a fantastic, fun start to their educational journey.
Our theme next term will continue to be Inspector Gadget, but we are looking at the gadgets we might find in a workshop, or outside. We are also going to be celebrating the important ladies in our lives, like our Mums, Grannies and Aunties. We also have lots of Easter activities planned, so it will be another busy, fun filled half term J.
