APPEAL: Classic Jag stolen from Stafford

Officers are appealing for witnesses after a classic “E” type Jaguar car was stolen in Stafford last month.

On the evening of Tuesday 25 September, unknown offenders forced their way into a garage on Kingcup Road, Stafford, and stole the vehicle. It is believed that the Jag was towed away from the location.

The vehicle has a British Racing Green finish.

Anyone with information is asked to email DC Andrew Shorthouse on Andrew.Shorthouse quoting incident 196 of 27 September.

Appeal following serious assault in Stafford

Officers from Staffordshire Police are appealing for information after a man suffered a serious assault in Stafford yesterday evening (10 October).

Officers were called to reports of a 27-year-old man with a serious head injury on Marston Road, Stafford at around 7:35pm. The man was taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital and is currently in a critical condition.

A 31-year-old man from Stafford has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody for questioning at this time.

Detectives remain at the scene and are working with forensics teams to establish the circumstances of the incident. PCSOs from the local neighbourhood team are making door-to-door enquiries and neighbourhood patrols will continue to provide a visible reassurance to the local community.

Detective Inspector Giles Parsons, senior investigating officer, said: “We are keen to establish the circumstances of this serious assault.
