Milwich & District Produce Guild

On June 22nd we welcomed Mr. Ron Rock whose talk entitled “A Garden Fit For Bees” gave members an insight on the many varieties of bees, and what to plant to entice them into our gardens and meadows.

On 24th August we have a visit from Mrs. Margaret Bullock, who will talk on “The National Memorial Arboretum”.

Our Annual Show will be held on September 2nd. Unfortunately, this will be the last show. It is an open show, and we would like to encourage everyone to take part, and try to win one of the many cups and trophies. Schedules are available from The Green Man, or our chairman, Mike Baggaley ( 01889 270161).

On September 28th, we welcome Barbara Andrew, whose talk entitled “Grandma was a Suffragette” promises to be a very enjoyable evening.

Our meetings are usually held in All Saints” Village Hall on the fourth Thursday of each month, beginning at 8pm, Visitors are always welcome.

FREE for collection

8 interlocking display screens approx: 8 foot by 4 foot.

These will be available for collection after the Annual Show on September 2nd.

Details from Mike Baggaley on 01889 270161, or m_baggaley@btinternet.com

Pre-School Newsletter

Well it’s that time of year again when we all start to relax and enjoy our summer holidays, so Milwich Pre-School and Lollipops Wraparound Care would just like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the hard work and dedication from parents to grandparents, auntie and uncles, friends and the local community. Without your support we couldn’t run our small rural pre-school. A big thank you must also go to all the teachers at Green Lea School, who support and help us every day.

I think everybody involved in Pre-School and Lollipops Wraparound Care would like to extend their thanks to all the amazing staff, who always go above and beyond. And finally the biggest thank you must go to the children, who make Milwich Pre-School and Lollipops Wraparound Care the vibrant, fun and exciting place to be and work at.

We hope everybody has a wonderful summer, and we are already planning lots of great things for the new school year, which will hopefully include a forest school session. So stay safe and we will see you in September.

Pre-school will be offering the 30 hours funding from September (subject to criteria). Please see a member of staff for more details.

Milwich Pre-school is now open 5 days a week (subject to numbers), Monday – Friday. Sessions are 9:00am – 1:30pm or 9:00am – 3:00pm. Also available lollipops wraparound care. Sessions from 7:30am – 9:00am and/or 3:00pm – 5:45pm (term time only). For any further information please contact 07974 719522
