A warm sunny morning and two of the team members (Richard and Paul) decided to make a number of improvements and repairs to footpaths in different parts of the parish. This work included:
- Two replacement finger posts (Footpaths 26 and 31)
- Two replacement fingers
- Two finger posts straightened
- Clearance of 6 overgrown stiles
- Repair of handrail on bridge at Wheatlow Brooks
- Repair of rails beside stile at start of Footpath 31 near Castle Farm
This is a much better workout on a sunny morning in the fresh air than going to the Gym (and more useful!). The hardest job was the new finger post at Castle Farm as several tree roots were encountered.
