Broadband Speeds

 Broadband Facilities in Milwich

Thank you to those who responded to the survey of Broadband speeds. It is clear from the results that speeds outside the immediate vicinity of the village are very poor and, in some areas, broadband is not available. If you still want to participate, please click here.

The Broadband Working Group has discussed the situation; it is clear that these speeds will not be increased unless the infrastructure is improved. Staffordshire County Council has £7.5m to improve broadband access in rural areas and the Parish Council will be lobbying to try and get some of this money spent on improving the situation for residents.

In the meantime, you may be able to improve your own broadband speed. A guide to how to do this is available below and a hard copy is available in The Green Man; if you want to have a look, ask Rod.

If you live in Milwich village you should be able to obtain 4Mb minimum download speed, if not have a look at the guide to see where your problems might lie.
